ORGL 505 Organizational Theory

Providing an overview of the field of organizational theory, participants in this course apply Bolman and Deal’s four frames theory and Morgan’s use of metaphors to analyze and describe organizations and their functional structures. By viewing organizations both simultaneously and separately though structural, human resource, political, and symbolic frames, the participant develops an appreciation for the intricacies of organizational behavior, and gains tools for managing and leading within the context of these frames.
